When you download our free resources or take the Website Friction Score

  • ScoreApp scorecard responses (if you take the Website Friction Score)

When you purchase the Friction Snapshot

  • Full name and email address
  • Company name and website URL
  • Your answers to the audit form questions (what you sell, marketing approach, video usage, biggest challenge)
  • Payment information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store card details)

When you purchase other products or services

  • Full name, email address, and telephone number
  • Business name, website URL, and relevant business information
  • Payment information (processed by our payment provider)
  • Communications between us by email or other written means
  • Any other information you provide in the course of working with us

When you use our interactive videos

  • Video interaction data — impressions, plays, play rate, button clicks, and branch selections — collected via the Interactr platform
  • Where you submit a form within an interactive video: your name and email address

When you visit our website

  • Technical data collected automatically by systeme.io, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time on site
  • Cookie data as described in Section 8

4 How Long We Keep Your Data

5 The Friction Snapshot and OpenAI Processing

Important: When you purchase the Friction Snapshot, the information you provide — including your website URL, company name, and your answers to the audit form questions — is transmitted to OpenAI's API to generate your automated report. This is a necessary part of how the product works.

OpenAI acts as a data processor on our behalf for this purpose. OpenAI's own terms of service and privacy policy apply to the processing of data by their API. We do not sell or share your data with OpenAI for any purpose other than generating your report.

We do not store the content of your generated report beyond the email delivery. OpenAI's data retention practices for API inputs are governed by their own privacy policy, available at openai.com/privacy.

By purchasing the Friction Snapshot and submitting the audit form, you acknowledge and consent to your data being processed by OpenAI for the purpose of generating your report.

6 Third Parties We Share Data With

We use a number of third-party services to operate our business. Where these services process your personal data, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

All third-party providers are required to handle your data in compliance with applicable data protection law. Where data is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, we ensure that appropriate transfer mechanisms are in place.

7 Email Marketing

When you download a free resource, take the Website Friction Score, or purchase a product from us, your email address is added to our mailing list and you will receive a sequence of emails related to the product or resource you accessed.

We may also send you occasional emails about our products, services, and relevant content. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing mark@frictionpointvideo.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not affect transactional emails related to a product or service you have purchased, such as order confirmations or delivery notifications.

8 Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the website function correctly and allow us to understand how visitors use the site.
